im learning how to play classical guitar, but im clue less on what i should master first.?
what should i practice/learn so that i become a better player faster???? Also my left leg keeps falling asleep when i sit down. please can anyone tell me how to fix that? Thanks!!
1. Practice scales: C, D, E, F, G, A, B
2. Practice bar chords
3. Start playing basic classic rock songs: Smoke on the Water, Cocaine to practice chords on the fret board
4. Then, get an Andreas Segovia CD or two, and listen and learn from the master
Try playing on your right knee instead of your left knee and then your left foot won't fall asleep.

Master the scales. They are the building blocks for everything fancy that you want to do. Practice the scales as if your life depended upon them.
As far as your leg, change the height of the chair. Too much pressure is being put on the back of your leg.

With classical guitar, there are few things you will master quickly. The study of classical guitar is painstaking, but worth it. First, master everything slowly, and then build up speed. The KEY to speed is doing things slow and perfect, and then building up from there. In classical study, there is no real thing to master first, other than just general knowledge and skill, and an awareness of the guitar as a solo worthy instrument, and don't let anyone tell ya different.

if you want to excel in a craft, any craft, um, carpentry, masonry, acting, writing, whatever, you usually go to a master and study under him. there are some reasons for this. first, he provides wisdom, either to help you further or to make you realize that you're no good at what you're trying to do. second, he provides you with direction, where to go, and how you should go about getting to where it is you want to go. third, the rigorous, and often tedious, exercises will make you realize that it takes more than desire to learn a craft.
go. find a master.

Scales, then music which applies the scales like the music of J.S. Bach.
